    Lynch Bages Pauillac 2000 (gerade trinkreif, super auch in der Luft)

    Und einen Rieussec 2003 als Dessertwein
    Als Port Grahams Vintage 1991
    Die Puserette hatte echt Ahnung, bei einer Englaenderin nachvollziebar.

    Will noch mal eine Lanze für EK brechen, wenngleich da natürlich auch nicht alles Gold ist, was glänzt:
    Hatte hier ja unter dem 11.2. gepostet, dass es in F einen Lynch Bages aus 2000 gab, superb.

    Mein Bruder ist letzte Woche in F Langstrecke mit der Airline des "Mutterlandes" des Cabernet Sauvignon geflogen, AF.
    Dort wurde in F auch ein Lynch Bages angeboten, aber Jahrgang 2007(!), also eigentlich noch gar nicht genießbar.
    Mein Bruder hat dann nach einem Bordeaux aus C gefragt: Chateau de Carmensac, auch 2007.
    Fazit: EK gibt sich viel mehr Mühe als selbst AF (und viele andere Airlines) mit der Auswahl (bzw. der Trinkfertigkeit) der Weine.

    WHITE

    Pouilly Fuisse 2009
    Chanson Pete et Fils

    One of Burgund‘s oldest companies, Chanson Pete et Fils
    is now owned bu Champagne house Bollinger. Their Pouilly
    Fuisse intrigues with fragrances of white flower, white peach
    and Olive. Full bodied, displauing delicate oak with a well
    balanced acidity and minerality.

    Zevenwacht Sauvignon Blanc 2010
    The South African Sauvignon is a fusion between French and
    New Zealand str/les. It packs the punch of the Kiwi wines while
    maintaining the all important minerality that gives Sauvignon
    its delicious vlvacity. The grapes for this blend are sourced
    from the south facing slopes, overlooking False Ba\/. The nose
    offers a complex fruit concoction of gooseberries, grass, herbs
    and a touch of ripe figs. The palate is crisp and mineral with a
    long finish.

    RED

    Amiral de Beychevelle 2005
    St Julien

    Second wine of the much revered Chateau Beychevelle.
    The name refers to the loth owner of Beychevelle, the Duc
    d`Esperon and Admiral of France. Nose of soft dark berries,
    crushed rocks, graphite and a whiff of cigar box. A succulent
    palate of blackcurrants, boysenberries, notes of spice and a
    long powerful finish. Excellent with red meat dishes

    Domalnes des Senechaux 2008
    Chateauneuf—du-Pape

    This excellent domaine was purchased bu Bordeaux legend
    Jean~Michel Cazes, owner of the much revered Chateau
    Lunch Bages property. The philosophv at Senechaux is much
    the same as over at Lvnch Bages — to over deliver in quality
    vis-a-vis the competitors. The 2008 has a huge and inviting
    bouquet of black fruits, kirsch, Provencale garrigue, lavender
    and white pepper. The body is well rounded with a beautiful,
    silku texture. A perfect match for all red meats and great for
    sipping on its own.

    habe ein paar Weinlisten gescannt, und auch nur ein paar mit genommen, wenn ich mal dran gedacht habe. Link hier zum Download. Die letzten Monate hat EK genau meinen Geschmack getroffen. Anstelle einse Moet & Chandon(den ich nicht mag) einen Bollinger Champanger in C, sowie gute französische Weisweine aus dem Burgund wie z.B. Mersault, Pouilly Fuisse & Puilly Fume.

    Meursault Les Clous 2009
    Bouchard Pere et Fils


    Located in Cote de Beaune, south of Volnay and north of
    Puligny Montrachet, Meursault has been producing some of
    the finest white wines in Burgundy for centuries. It owes this
    greatness to its marl and chalk soils and south-south easterly
    exposure. This wine, exclusively from the Les Clous vineyard
    has the hallmarks of great Meursault — an oily texture with
    aromas of hazelnuts, honey and vanilla leading to an unctuous
    palate of stone fruits, cream, gentle and integrated oak and a
    fine minerality on the ?nish. Perfect with rich / creamy dishes.

    Saint Claire Sauvignon Blanc 2010
    Marlborough

    Marlborough white specialist is producing some of the best
    Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand today. The Z010 is highly
    aromatic with intense flavours of dried pineapple, gooseberry
    and citrus peel. The palate has superb balance, with crisp
    acidity and pure citrus fruit finishing with a citrusy tang. A
    perfect aperitif and great with cold starters.

    RED

    Les Tourelles de Longueville 2005
    Pauillac

    Second wine of one of Bordeaux‘s finest chateaux, Pichon-
    Longueville Baron. Les Tourelles is a sumptuous Pauillac,
    exuding a powerful palate of blackberries and cassis. Full yet
    perfectly balanced with freshness and medium alcohol. Pure
    class. Excellent with red meats, specially beef.

    d'Arry's Original 2008
    Shiraz-Grenache

    The d'Arenberg McLaren Vale d'Arry's Original Shiraz Grenache
    is a 50-50 Shiraz/ Orenache blend from d‘Arenberg‘s old,
    lowyielding vineyards in McLaren Vale, Australia. A potent
    nose of dark violets, red fruit and a touch of oak, lead into a
    beautifully soft palate of bright, red fruit. Acids and tannins
    together then clamp down on your tongue and cheeks,
    holding them hostage while a sprinkling of red fruit is allowed
    to escape.

    Chablis Premier Cru 2009
    Domaine de Vaudon, Joseph Drouhin


    Vaudon, owned bu the Drouhin famil\/ of Burgundu, is one of
    the largest estates in Chablis. This is a blend of several premier
    cru terroirs, producing a wine which combines both mineralitu
    with a richness of fruit sometimes hard to find in Chablis.
    The Z009 vintage was warm and gave the wines of Chablis
    just a little more sunshine and creaminess than found in more
    classic vintages.

    Saint Claire Sauvignon Blanc 2010
    Marlborough

    Marlborough white specialist is producing some of the best
    Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand TOdEi\/. The ZOTO is highlu

    Clos de la Coulee de Serrant 2008
    Nicolas Joly


    Perhaps not the best known appellation in the Loire, but certainly
    a highly sought after wine. Emirates is therefore delighted to
    offer this parcel for First Class. With yields of only Z5 hectolitres
    per hectare, half that of Grand Cru burgundy, iOO% bio-dynamic
    production this really is a very serious wine. Rich golden colour.
    notes of honey and candied orange, a texture that is almost
    syrupy. Divine drinking.

    Corton Charlemagne 2001
    Bonneau du l`lartray

    The Le Bault de la l´loriniere family has held the largest Grand
    Cru holding in Burgundy in its family for centuries. Current
    patriarche, Jean-Charles has been in charge since the mid 90s
    and has converted the domaine to fully biodynamic, whereby
    using no pesticides or herbicides. This is a sensual and cerebral
    wine. ll years of age has softened this grand Cru Chardonnay to a
    delicately textured, mineral wine with fragrant white fruit flavours
    such as pear and a hint of butterscotch. Utterly delightful with fish
    and chicken dishes.

    Meursault 1er Cru Le Porusots 2006
    Humblot

    The annual Hospices de Beaune auction in Burgundy has, for
    generations, provided charitable income for the Hospices in the
    cities of Beaune and Dijon. Fantastic plots of vineyards have been
    bequeathed over the years and now with their own production
    facility and winemaker, the Hospices wines are seriously good.
    Emirates bought ll barrels of Premier Cru Meursault from the we
    structured 2006 vintage and here is our first release. Rich and
    complex white Burgundy like this is really unmatched anywhere '1
    the world.

    Chateau Pichon Longueville 2001
    Pauillac

    Situated onlv a stones throw from the First Growth Latour, Pichon
    Longueville is the more muscular of the two properties sharing
    the Pichon name. Z001 produced a wine with lat/ers of delicious
    blackcurrant fruit, cigar box and graphite aromas. The palate is
    rich with toastv and vanilla notes wrapped around the creme de
    cassis core. A verv rich and satlsfving wine delivering a welcomed
    freshness on the finish.

    Charmes Chambertin 2000
    Domaine Taupenot-Merme

    Sensual Grand Cru from the renowned village of Gevrev. The
    vinei/ard of Charmes Chambertin is known for its silkiness and
    elegance. The Taupenot Merme ZOOO is medium weight, with a
    succulent sweet creme de fraise like fruit. Drinking perfectlv now
    and pairs beautlfullv with lamb and even chicken dishes.

    According to Jean Michel Cazes, owner of Lunch Bages, the 2000
    is one of the top four vintages the chateau has produced during his
    significant tenure. lt exhibits a dense purple colour with a powerful
    and classic nose of tobacco and creme de cassis. On the palate it is
    rich and succulent while retaining poised elegance. Brimming willt
    juicv cassis fruit, tobacco and notes of leather. Perfect with beet
    and lamb dishes or a good book.

    Pouilly Fuisse Tete de Cru 2009
    Chateau-Fuisse

    Chateau Fuisse‘s Tete de Cru is a blend of grape picked from
    50 \/ear old vines from over Z0 different prime vineyard sites
    throughout the appellation of Pouilliy-Fuisse in Southern
    Burgundy. The wine is rich and robust in the mouth, but
    retains its lean acidity and freshness throughout. Light caramel
    aromas from the 20% new oak used to age the wine combine
    with floral and pear aromas. The palate is generous, opulent
    and round with butter, honey, hazel nuts and a deep rooted
    mineralitv which perfectlv balances the richness.

    Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio 2010
    Allow us to first clarify one point - this is not t/our average,
    light and inoffensive Pinot Grigio. Livio Felluga is one of the
    finest exponents of this overworked grape variety the world
    over, producing in the heart of the Friuli region, the spiritual
    home of Pinot Grigio and crafts wines of great intensity and
    richness, of freshness and elegance. The nose on the Z010 has
    floral notes of jasmine and magnolia, hints of white peach,
    apricot, orange peel, wild rose and mint; with mineral and
    spice components well integrated into the wine. The flavours
    are elegant, intense, vibrant, with good balance and persistent
    aromatics. This is the perfect aperitif but also works well with
    fish and other delicate dishes.

    Chateau St. Georges 2005
    St Georges St Emilion


    Chateau St. Georges sits in the Libournais satellite of
    St—Georges-St-Emilion. The chateau itself was built in i774 on
    the former site of a feudal castle, and its Vineyards are some of
    the oldest in France. This top cuvee from the chateau combines
    ripe cherry fruit aromas with a light smokiness. The palate
    is soft and silken with more generous plum and fruitcake
    flavours, with fine tannins and a beautiful freshness on the
    finish making this a wine that is tough to put down. To be
    enjoyed with roasted meats.

    Gagliole IGT 2009
    Colli della Toscana Centrale

    Situated in the Conca d Oro region of Chianti at 500m above
    sea level, the Gagliole estate dates back to the lOth century
    but only recently did the estate start to produce high quality
    wine. This came with the arrival of Swiss lawl/er and banker
    Dr Thomas Bar and his wife Z0 \/ears ago in addition to a
    sizeable investment and the consultation from famed ltalian
    wine consultant Stefano Chioccioli. Today Gagiole is one of the
    top performing wines of Tuscany and Dr Bar is determined to
    produce the best wine in Tuscany. /-\ blend of Sangiovese with
    some Cabernet Sauvignon provides a superblu well balanced
    wine. There are la\/ers of rich dark fruits in the O9 Gagliole
    — plums and cherries and notes of tobacco and licorice. The
    palate isjuicy with refined tannins and a delicate acidity.
    Perfect with pastas and red meat dishes.

    Danke für die Info's. Hört sich wieder recht gut an.
    Der Pouilly Fuisse und der St. Georges sind aber so gerade trinkreif, könnten beide gut noch ein bis 2 Jahre Reife vertragen.
    Ich hoffe nur, dass EK den guten Stil beibehält, nur wirklich trinkreife Weine (mit natürlich höheren Lagerkosten) anzubieten, um sich diesbezüglich weiterhin von anderen Airlines abzugrenzen.

    Habe beide probiert( Pouilly Fuisse & St. Gorges) waren gut trinkbar. Auch der St.Georges mundete gut

    Vielleicht, wie so oft mit dem Geschmackssinn, in der Luft anders als auf dem Boden. Auf jeden Fall ist es schön, dass EK sich bei den Weinen so bemüht.

    Champagne
    Cuvee Dom Perignon, 20O2

    2002 was a warm Year in this illustrious region producing
    beautifully full bodied and ripe wines. The Dom Perignon has an
    intensely floral nose leading into the powerful yet creamy palate
    with uncharacteristic peach, passion fruit and apricot fruits all
    mingling in the flute with a subtle hazelnut and toasty finish. Aged
    on the lees for seven Years before disgorgement, followed by a
    further year in bottle, this is drinking perfectly now.
