Hi, bin neu und habe eine Frage: Kennt jemand http://www.travelagentid.com/? Die werben damit, dass man bei Buchung seine ID angibt (als Mitglied des Reisebüros) und dann vorzeigt im Hotel und dadurch große Rabatte bekommt. Ist das Bauernfängerei oder geht das wirklihc so einfach? Wie funktioniert das wenn man online via Reiseportal sein Hotel bucht? Herzlichen Dank
Hallo und willkommen im Forum, ob das angebot Bauernfängerei ist, vermag ich nicht zu beurteilen. Tatsache ist jedoch, dass man auf vielen Buchungsseiten z.B. bei Hilton nach einem Travel ID-code gefagt wird. Ob man dadurch Geld spart, weiss ich nicht. Vielleicht kann der Peruaner was dazu sagen. Seltsam dass man über die Firma "All Travel and Cruise Center, Inc" mit Sitz in Tampa, Florida die unter "About us" auf der HP angegeben ist, nichts im Google findet. Ebefalls dubios ist dass man erst mal 75$ für ein Jahr im voraus zahlen darf. Ich hab keinerlei Erfahrungsberichte/Reviews darüber finden können, weswegen es aus meiner Sicht riskant erscheint.
Ich besitze ja ein Reisebüro in Tahiti und damit über einen IATA Code. Alle Hotels kann ich mit diesem Code buchen und mein Reisebüro erhält dann nach einer gewissen Zeit nach Bezahlung der Hotelrechnung einen Check über eine Kommission. Verbilligen kann ich aber meinen Preis damit nicht. Vielleicht spekulieren die darauf und wollen einfach Kommissionen einkassieren.
Hatte mal ne Zeitlang Kontakt zu jemanden der sich über die Webseite angemeldet hatte und ihrer Meinung nach damit nicht schlecht gefahren ist. Sie hatte mir die Unterlagen geschickt, mir war es aber den Aufwand nicht wert mich damit eingehend zu beschäftigen. Wie es laufen soll, kann man aber unter http://www.travelagentid.com/handbook.pdf nachlesen. Auszug: There are 3 types of travel affiliates with our agency: 1. Part-time travel agent, you can request travel agent discounts for you and your family. You do not need to sell travel. Make sure you advise a travel supplier you are only “parttime” and do not have your own IATAN or CLIA card when requesting travel agent rates (not all travel suppliers offer discounts to part-time travel agents). Page 24-26 gives guidelines on how to request part-time travel agent discounts. Many travel suppliers will give you the CLIA rate if the agency sends in a Letter of Affiliation, just ask! 2. If you sell a minimum of 1 cruise a year, you can join Cruise Line International Assocation. Most travel suppliers consider you “full-time” if you are a member of CLIA. See page 27 for the discounts available to CLIA members. 3. Selling affiliates that earn over $5,000.00 a year may ( :wink: ) get their own IATAN card. The main goal of IATAN, (International Airlines Travel Agent Network), is to assist travel agents to meet and maintain a specific set of standards that are of value to airlines, the agency community, as well as to consumers. Travel Agents can get their own IATAN card by meeting the following requirements: 1. Be at least 18 years of age. 2. Be registered with IATAN and listed on the current Agency Personnel Listing for a minimum of six months. 3. Earn a minimum of $5,000 per year in commissions. Important Note: I.A.T.N. (International Association of Travelers Network) should not be mistaken for IATAN (International Airlines Travel Agent Network.) As one of our homebased travel agents you are entitled to have our I.A.T.N. photo identification card. :mrgreen: Additionally, you can qualify for an official IATAN Card when you meet the above requirements.

Danke Starbucks für die Ernüchterung ;( Ich habe es hoffentlich richtig verstanden, erst wenn man selbst über 5000 USD als travel agent für diese Firma umsetzt bekommt man eine IATAN-Mitgliedschaft als full time agent. Vorher ist die Karte nichts wert!?
Wenn man 5.000 Dollar umsetzt, oder 5.000 Dollar für die verdient? Ich meine 5.000 Dollar Umsatz lassen sich ggf. mit einem einzigen C-Ticket ja schon erreichen.
stop, habe selber nachgelesen. Mann muss natürlich 5000 Dollar an Provisionen reinbringen, also Mindestumsatz ca. 50.000 Dollar. Die hoffen wahrscheinlich drauf, dass diese "Homeverkäufer" dann in der Verwandschaft, Bekanntschaft etc. alle möglichen anlabern, um jedes noch so kleine Motel für die buchen zu dürfen. Und dann wird die Provision auch noch geteilt Da wäre es billiger, direkt eine IATA / IATAN Akkreditierung zu beantragen.
