Jetzt greift diese Unart auch noch in Doha um sich: Effective June 1, 2007, and in line with new global security guidelines issued by the International Civil Aviation Organisation, all passengers flying with Qatar Airways or any other airline from Doha International Airport, or transiting through Doha, will be subject to restrictions on the carriage of certain items in their hand baggage. New security screening measures at Doha International Airport means all liquids, gels, pastes and aerosols carried in passengers hand baggage, must be placed in re-sealable transparent plastic bags of certain dimensions. Key features of the new guidelines are: • All liquids, gels, pastes and aerosols in containers (eg: tubes, bottles, cans and jars) must each not exceed 100ml. Liquids, gels, pastes and aerosols in excess of 100ml will not be accepted, even if their containers are part-filled. • These items must be placed in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag of a maximum capacity not exceeding 1 litre. These must fit comfortably within the transparent plastic bag, which must be completely closed. • The size of the plastic bag must not exceed 20cm x 20cm (8 inches x 8 inches). • The plastic bag must be presented for visual examination at the airport security screening point. Only one transparent plastic bag per passenger will be permitted. • Exemptions will be made for medication, for which prescriptions or medical certificates are required. Baby milk and food and special dietary foods are also exempt. To facilitate screening, transparent plastic bags with 100ml containers must be presented separately from other cabin baggage, coats, jackets and laptop computers for X-ray screening at all screening points. Items exceeding the allowed limits will not be permitted to be carried in hand baggage. Da mich dieses Thema jetzt etwas wunderte, hab ich mal den Goggelgott befragt. Mitte diesen Jahres kommen neue Sicherheitsvorschriften der ICAO. Soll heißen, dass uns dieses Flüssigkeitenphantom wohl in Zukunft wohl weltweit begegnen wird. Genaueres kann ich aber nicht dazu beitragen, da der Wortlaut der Vorschrift unter Verschluß und noch in Bearbeitung ist. Harren wir also mal der Dinge die da kommen.
hallo zusammen, ich komme gerade von rarotonga, cook islands, zurück. sogar dort gab es absolut verschärfte kontrollen, was die flüssigkeiten an bord betraf. rigoros musste alles abgegeben werden, was die vorschriften (s. oben meldung qatar airways) übertraf. beim zwischenstop in AKL wurde nicht wirklich explizit kontrolliert, obwohl man die entsprechenden hinweisschilder überall sah. in HKG dagegen war eine kontrolle so extrem, dass man ggf. noch die eigene tränenflüssigkeit hätte angeben müssen. in london wurde auf dem rückflug nicht geprüft !!!! allerdings: wer zur zeit via LHR fliegt, muss unbedingt darauf achten, dass das handgepäck nur EIN gepäckstück beträgt ! auf dem hinflug kam ich in LHR zu einem check VOR dem security check und sah folgendes: leute, die vor mir durch diesen check wollten und nicht alles in ein gepäckstück verfrachten konnten, mussten tatsächlich die dinge, die nicht hineinpassten, zurücklassen (das gilt insbesonder für die handtaschen der damen !!!! -kein scherz !!!!). unglaublich, oder ? dasselbe habe ich auf dem rückflug gesehen. dort stapelten sich taschen etc. auf dem boden. das personal war einfach rigoros. dennoch: eine geniale reise (flug mit nz) und ein toller 4-wöchiger aufenthalt
